Shevon Stoddart is a multi-talented woman.
She is an outstanding 400-meter hurdler as well as a singer and songwriter. Shevon was a member of both the 2004 and 2008 Jamaican Olympic Teams and also competed at the 2005 IAAF World Championships. During the 2008 Summer Olympic Games, Shevon placed 4th in the 400-meter hurdles. Her personal best in the event is 54.47.
Shevon Stoddart was born in Kingston, Jamaica. At the early age of 5, she moved to Uniondale, New York. Her track career started in middle school, which by 9th grade, Shevon Stoddart was ranked #3 in the state of New York in the 400meters. The 400 intermediate hurdles was introduced to Shevon in the 10th grade were she became a 2-time State Championship.
Shevon Stoddart received a full Scholarship from the University of South Carolina and majored in Advertising and a minored in Business. Shevon Stoddart made her first Olympic team in 2004 as a junior in College and made her first World Champion team in 2005.
Shevon Stoddart is currently living and training in Los Angeles, California where she is preparing for the 2016 Olympic Games, which will be held in Rio, Brazil.
